I notice that the majority of moves are acrobatic in nature and some of them appear to be fully into the realm of interpretive dance. The athletics displayed are inspiring - but you must always make distinctions between wu shu, acrobatics and entertainment. Not to say that any movement of the body can not be turned to wu shu in time of need. Please also bear in mind that it is only in other countries that shao lin is free. In China, it is subject to government whimsy and "monitoring" including prohibiting the marks of honor. Much the same tragedy as Tibet. China is lost. Many Chinese people will not be. We must always give our support to those who preserve and pass along traditional Chinese treasures of custom, knowledge and wisdom.
